Gregory Gillespie is one of my all time farvorite contemporary American painters. His style is so unique and yet makes me recall the Northern Renaissance masters such as Jan van Eyck, Hieronymus Bosch, and Pieter Bruegel the Elder. I think it is the light in Gillespie’s work that make me think of the association. Anyway, it is excellent art!
